Hello..

I got headache with this..i heard that is about net-type setting so i already put net-type 5..k but this bot still say that he is't in the channel but i can see clearly my bot already join the channel..Please can anyone help me with this..

I know this is server protocol error maybe you guys can take a look at this server IRCD protcol


irc.webchat.org (7000,6669)
one of this netwrok serve (arena.webchat.org 7000) is work fine when my bot connect to this server...but alwys down.


pls help me.

This network is known to cause mayhem with eggdrop, and there is nothing that can be done about it.

The network you are on simply doesn't conform to the IRC RFC properly.

The only thing possible, is to try and convince the IRCD creators to change to 100% RFC compatiable code.

Hehe,

I used to run a couple eggs on that network and what Ppslim stated is an understatement..Its a fulltime job running bots on that network unless you dont mind them being Guest and deoped half the time...Too many netsplits and services are alwasy dieing...The peeps who run the server are good but I think they need to upgrade because the servers cant handle the load...

I never really had a problem with my bots on that server, channel and protection wise..They alwasy ran fine..Just the netslpits killed them constantly..They were alwasy lost and confused.. ;)

ermm..I also alredy use some old ver egg's but that was 1 and half year ago...by the way Clipped what server in webchat.org network u use?and what version egg's u running?

I am using glass.webchat.org port 6667 for the eggs and 1.6.13...I like to use the newest versions ;)

clipped, did u ctcp chat your bot...and do u see this massage "I'm not on #tests."...i change to the server that u using also cant...you know you will relize it when you put your bot in about more then 6-7 channel..then the bot will be EXCESS FLOOD.



anyone got idea please help.

Hmmm we dont use that server any longer but I got a couple of my bots to join today and they had no problems..Net type 5.. They knew they were on channel..Enforced channel modes etc etc...
