identify with nickserv

I know this question has been posed here many times. I have looked through the forum and tried almost everything that was suggested in them. I have tried the set-init I have downloaded several tcls that are supposed to make the bot id with the server but all to no avail. I have recomfirmed that the bot is registered and that he has op status in the channel but he will not id to nickserv and therefore will not be opped. I am at a loss as to what to do.

Duno why people don't consult the TCL Archive and even the forum magic *search* button befor asking for a script..

caesar if you read my post you would have seen I did and tried all the things I found and read but I could not get them to work...Yourname was kind enough to supply the answer which worked..so yes I checked the library and the "famous" search tool
