Well, really.. I dont even know any other servers running ircx apart from MSN's IRC servers. Neither do I know if an eggdrop can be run on one which runs ircx.

Your best bet is to try changing all those net-types from 0-5 and see if it does any good, or wait for a better answer from a person who knows stuff about ircx. I recall Ian-Highlander to be around with some ircx info.

See the Links section of egghelp.org.

Off the top of my head www.eggdroprus.co.uk is the site, for the IRCX port of eggdrop.

The version involved is old, but should work.

As noted, it's off the top of my head, and checking the Links section as informed, will give you the correct site.

Yeah, like I said.. the only person I knew was Ian-Highlander with ircx info. And he does'nt seem to be around anymore for some reason.

See, this is what we get for not utilising information when he had the chance to :(

Ian is about (I still see him on my Y!IM), just not activly with eggdrop so much. He has looked for somebody to continue his web-site, and even asked if I would.

EDIT:

There are 3 versions you can download

1: Version 1.3.21
2: Version 1.3.23
3: Version 1.5.4*

At this time, there are no download links, though this is due to be fixed later.

Yeah sorry, the site is back up and running again, see my other posts for reasons it was down.

IRCx is basically Microsoft's own system its NOT the one they use on the web based chat but was the system they used on their old IRC servers which closed down years ago.

It is basically Microsoft Exchange chat server and beats IRCd hands down for security and functionality. Its a real shame IRCx is disappearing but I guess its primarily because Microsoft charge so damn much for the exchange software. IRCd's cant touch it in my opinion and if your mate is running a correctly configured exchange server then stick with it because you cant beat it.

"Yourname" - much as I respect you for your posting on here, dont tell people something is bad simply because you dont know anything about it. Although I am honoured that you remembered me

I'm still around on messengers almost all day everyday if anyone wants me (see below for list) but am withdrawing from the world of eggdrop for serious personal reasons (I'm Gonna be a DADDY!! well that and I'm just too damn busy these days.)

"switch" - I have versions of the IRCx patch for Linux/Unix for 1.3.21 , 1.3.23 and 1.5.4 bots as shown above by PPSlim (thanks for letting me know it was down by the way slim old chap  ) I also have a precompiled Windrop version for version 1.3.23 if you need it let me know and I can send you it.

Regards to all
