Settings for Conference Room Servers

Post by Ryker »

I have set my eggdrop to run on a conference room server but the setting 5 doesn't work as the bot doesn't recognise it is on channel.

I have read other posts here that have had a similar problem and were told it was to do with their choice of networks 1 to 5. I set mine to 5 but obviously this is wrong. Can anyone tell me which to use for conference room servers?

Never mind .. the network is webnet and from reading other posts here its a nightmare to run a bot there so I will go play somewhere else!

I don't think conference room is IRCX.

From the top of my head, conference room servers do not follow the RFC by default, with regards to WHO replies (like many servers).

If I am right, using a option like "/who -l" or somthing, will produce RFC compatable output. But at this time, there is no patch, that can be applied to make eggdrop function on conference room

I had the same problem, On webnet you must identify to nickserv before you can use the /who command, using it without identifying returns nothing.
