weather script defaalt save for every user ?

ok i installed the weather script latest version
but for some reason it does not allow other people to set their default country
it keeps saying
Sorry, dunno who you are, you can't set a default
anybody has an idea how to fix this

to be able to set default country you must be a Bot-User (so u are known to the bot). Tell the ppl to create an accout @ the bot and it will work.

do the pêople need to create it themself or can i do it for them
do they need any special flags
since i tried it adding a user no flags or host and that did not work
dont they can create a account themselfs unless its always on since i dont remember putting it on when editing the config

You will need to create the user-record for them, using the commands provided for user managment on the partyline.

FOr the above script, I don't think they need any flags at all, however, they will need a host record for them.

The hostmask is how the bot recognises between each user.

user record would be when i do .+user nick ?
and host record i automaticly get once a user is added right ?

There are two commands. ".adduser" and ".+user"

One of the two looks the user up on IRC (your current console channel), and adds them with a host.

From my head, I can't remember which.

yep adduser check info on irc that whas my problem also
i did .+user which didnt work for the weather script adduser did

thats because .+user must be provided with the hostmark, use ".+user handle hostmark". .adduser will be used with ".adduser nick" using ".+user nick" will create a user recored without any hostmark, so nobody will be recognized as this user .
