userfile error

I set up three eggdrops exactly as done at [ http://www.egghelp.org/enhance.htm ] .. Except for the usernames, everything's exact. When the leaf bots connect to the hub, I get this error on the hub, which causes it to exit:

[11:48] Telnet connection: localhost/1221
[11:48] Challenging Leaf1...
[11:48] Linked to Leaf1.
*** Linked to Leaf1
[11:48] ERROR writing user file to transfer.

i've tried re-doing the setup, even starting with a blank userfile, but i get the same error each time.

Check the value of "set temp" in your config file.

It need to have write access to this directory.

Are tyou starting the bot, under the same username that you compiled and installed the bot?

well, got it working somehow .. went back and re-did everything again, and this time it worked. *shrug*

it ended up killing my SiteStat announcer, though, so i undid it all. :roll:
