Post by thughes0126 »

I have read faqs from the faqs page as well as post here, and still my bot deops me. They continually go at it, if I come in after the bot, if the bot comes in after me, everything is fine. Eggdrop always says chansplit detected when chanserv ops me. PLEASE HELP

Just to reiterrate

Alot of similiar posts suggests -bitch -revenge -revengebot and -d. I have either removed these, or there were none. I did a .match on d and still not found. Toggled Desynch setting in config file, as well as various autoop settings and timings. I have deleted my user file and recreated, as well as channel. Tried various flags including +aof. All external scripts are off.

These have been quaddrupple checked and toggled for effects.

Something somewhere has the the words chansplit detected in order for the bot to know them, I can find it though.

try a .match +d also this '[9:34pm] <Regulator> [21:34] Regulator kicked from #w1ck3ds-Audio by Trucifix: (Don't ever DeOp me!) .:::þ®öîËåtîöñ:::. ' is not a part of the eggdrop. This must be one of your scripts.
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

No go with the .match d, i know where and how to look, its not the cause. That is part of my irc script, thats the reaction from it, which is natural, still dont know why the bot is kicking it to begin with.

What is "bounce-modes" set to in your config?

First, do a .help match second try unloading that script and see if the *revenge* is gone..

I have changed all my bounce modes to 1, but I am not on a botnet. This is not related to a +d flag, I have check it to many times. Day after day has gone by and I still cant figure this out. Anyone have any last suggestions before I scrap this bot completely, I know there is an answer out there, I just hope Im asking the right question.

OK - there are five possible issues that can ause this behaviour.

1: Channel service bot.

CHannel services can cause havok, if you havn't created a record for the service bot, with at least +of.

2: Server bouced modes

If the bounce mode settings are set to one, then any mode set by the server is reversed.

3: +d

There is a global and local (channel) +d flag.

The ".match" command will only pickup global flags. This means that if +d has been set on a specific channel, then you will have to go through each record manualy (IE, you have 100 users in the userfile, then you have to make sure each and every 100 of them are checked), and remove the +d channel and global flag.

4: The +bitch setting

Meaning that only OPs can gain +o in a channel

Each user must have a matching user-record (matched by hostmask). Even though you may have added a user, they may not be matched at this time, as the hostmasks is too different.

5: A script

Depeneding on what scripts you have loaded, they may cause issues if not properly configured.
