Hi,

Does anyone know how disable the auto wordwrap when using Putty?

I have this problem trying to edit my crontab using pico, because Putty always automatically wrap long line (one long line become two), this cause error to my crontab. Please help. :-?

Putty should not do this, and should automaticaly addapt to the width of the window you have open (at least mine does, and by default).

Under the "terminal" tree item, you can untick "Auto wrap mode initialy on".

However, you may wish to check some of the following settings.

Under the "window" tree:
Use the option "Change the number of rows and columns"

You may also want to ask the admin, to make sure he is using a deceint terminal setting on the server.
