Bot dies on command...

Post by Storm »

Hey!
When my bot is OP in the channel, and someone uses a command (eg: @commands) the bot goes down, it quits IRC with this msg (Read error: Connection reset by peer), when the bot is not op, everything works fine, all commands, fine. It didnt happen before... Any ideas how to fix that?
P.S It goes down not only when someone types a command, it goes down when someone say anything in the channel where the bot is in.
I thought it might be script bug, but no, I unloaded all scripts and still same error. I use windrop 1.6.13.
Thanks :D :) !

It might be wise to review where you download your copy of windrop from. I recomend the semi-official site http://windrop.sf.net/

On top, what are the actual scripts you use ont he bot, as somthing sounds like it is causing this. Anything related to ping?

I dont think so about ping, when its not op, it returns info on commnand very fast. I downloaded windrop from that website windrop.sf.net
About scripts, as I said I unloaded all scripts, but still the same error. :)

When you say unload, how did you unload?

Removing the load line and rehashing isn't enough. You need to use .restart to purge it from memory.

I would still like to know what scripts you are using to see what can be looked at regarding 2 scripts being incompatiable.

I used .rehash not .restart, so when I come back at home I'll try, (I'm at school now)
When I unload all scripts, I remove from eggdrop.conf all source scripts things, and remove loadmodule megahal.
What do you mean what scripts I use?
Some scripts I made ( bind pub - )
And Kalich script, if u know.
THanks for trying to help me :D

I can only sugest that you disable all the script, and enable them one by one, runnign each for 24 hours.

We can't help you find out why your bot is crashing, only you have access to do that, as such, once you ahve foudn it, we may be able to help more.
