I am unsure if the cygwin package has any IPv6 abilities. As such, would likely not work.
I strongly sugest you consult the windrop forums at
http://windrop.sf.net/

the Ipv6 abilities of Windrop 1.6.15 causes major problems for me, i had to go back to 1.6.13.

The is no IPv6 support in Windrop and won't be until Cygwin includes real IPv6 support.
If you are having connection problems with Windrop 1.6.15, it would be worth trying Windrop1.6.16cvs instead.
