simple bseen tcl script question... why is this happening?

Post by kublador »

i have one problem using bass's seen tcl 1.4.2....
can someone observe this log that i saved:

#################################################################
<kublador> !seen topak
<Pen0y> I found 130 matches to your query; please refine it to see any output.
<kublador> !seen top*
<Pen0y> ToPaK (MiKi@203.168.17.80) was last seen parting #help 37 minutes ago stating "{}".
<kublador> !seen ToPaK
<Pen0y> I found 130 matches to your query; please refine it to see any output.
#################################################################

in this situation.. im looking for the nickname "ToPaK" so i tried !seen topak
it says the bot found 130 matches.. but if i type !seen top* it will display ToPaK exactly...
why is this happening? so i thought it is case sensitive.. so i tried !seen ToPaK but still it says i found 130 matches..... i didnt edit anything in bass's seen tcl script...
can someone help me with this? thank you and God bless

!seen is a searching system, where wildcards can be used, and multiple results obtained. It can too also search for ISPs, EG "!seen *.pol.co.uk" would find all Freeserve users in the UK. Too many results cause what you have seen.

!seennick will pull the last record based on nickname only.

However, I am sure there is a configuration option so that !seen returns 5 records or so, with the latest one displayed.
