Eggdrop doesnt start

When i type ./eggdrop -m eggdrop.conf i get message that the eggdrop was started, but when I type ps ux, there is no such process ./eggdrop, and the bot doesn't seem to come IRC.

Try starting the bot with "./eggdrop -mn config.file"

That should tell you the error for why it crashed (if it crashed)

./eggdrop conf -m

Thats just confusing him, with another way of specifying what he used.

The -n flag will turn the shell into the console, so any and all messages are trapped there.

Doesn't seem to help, the eggdrop process just dont start. I use psyBNC and it works fine.

Well, eggdrop and psybnc are not the same thing, so why do you expect them to act the same.

WHat does it say when you start it with the -mn option, did you even considetr reading its output.

i've just installed and tring to start bot for the first time, but it tells me that USER FILE NOT FOUND!
and quits.
please say, where can i get this file or how can i create it?
as i understood it can't start cos it can't find this file
