Bot does this when trying to ban a user with brackets in their nicks:
<LiLBot> [07:13] (Happ!clearwater@242850hfc192.tampabay.rr.com) !Happ! ban #help [R-A-L-F] 1 Idling is not allowed in #Help , Return anytime if you have a question (1 minute Ban)
[18:13] <LiLBot> [07:13] Tcl error in script for 'timer112880':
[18:13] <LiLBot> [07:13] invalid command name "R-A-L-F"
bot is eggdrop 1.4.4 on freebsd
any suggestions? btw a friend with eggdrop 1.6.6 has the same problem.

This is a problem with the script you use.

It's been badly coded, and causes problems with the [] nicks
