Test this one (since a lot of people sai that they use it) and/or search for on on the TCL Archive. Now that slennox made a categorisation thing the search thing should be a lot easier now.

What exactly you want? Don't you want a script that will make the eggdrop login itself to the IRC Services of the network he/she sits on? If not, then my appologies, do a lil *diging* in the TCL Archive.
