At our company we use an in house fairly generic IRC client that is much similar to mIRC. The one big difference is we don't have masters, operators, or such. Pretty much everyone is just a peon. I have installed eggdrop and am able to do pretty much everything I want except one thing. I would like the eggdrop bot to be able to log private messages between 2 users in the chatroom other than the bot itself. We actually need to be able to do this somehow for SCC regulation, and I was curious is there is anyway I can get the bot to log other peoples private message? Thanks!
I don't get it, but do you mean that the eggdrop will have the capability to spy on people talking in query?
If yes, then I don't know how you would do that.
If no, then what do you mean? I have a feeling that you're telling that you want the bot to log conversation involving two or more people (because, if the eggdrop can see someone's conversation, it means it's also involved in it, and that only means that all three are in one room, and that is a channel) then, you can log the channel. Just watch the starting bot of the eggdrop conf closely.. you'll encounter a line starting with "logfile", it has the instructions too.
Or if this is not it, please be more specific. And what kind of ircd you use? (clients don't really matter)
