The channel locking feature of sentinel is activated when the banlist gets full, right. And then it announces that the channel is locked and sets +i, but then doesnt it remove the bans and also the -i, upon removal of bans?
My bot stopped noticing the channel and also never removed the bans not the +i
I was aware of it locking the channel on a full ban list, but making it the channels decision on the ban to remove and un locking the channel themselves.
yes. A aditional component to do this gtask for you.
no. It's not advisable.
If this ban list gets full, it is usualy because the bots are placing too many bans. The idea behind the lock sentinal makes, is to prevent takeovers. If you can't add to the ban list, then any1 could just come in, flood like crazy, and do there stuff.
Eggdrop is a machine, it does not know what bans to remove. Sure it could remove them all, but the rest of the bots (infact, includeing itself) would only re-add them straight away, leaveing you, once again, with a full ban list.
If it where to totaly remove the bans, including from there ban list. The that anoying git, the one the ban was there to stop in the first place, will only come back.
