Problems with +bitch channel setting

Hi everybody!

I have an urgent question about +bitch cannel setting in the new versions of eggdrop. I've noticed that if somebody gets opped on a +bitch channel, they become automatically deopped by the bot, even if they were opped by the permanent owner! That doesn't appeal to me and I think it extremely sukz. Could everybody tell me solution about this problem? Does anybody knows which version has this behaviour been changed from (for instance 1.4.3 doesn't behave so)?

And another off-topic question: Which version of egg I need to link it successfully to another egg, which uses 1.3.28? I know the link between 1.6.4 (and above) and 1.3.28 works fine but I'm not interested in this nasty version:) Any ideas?

10x a lot in advance!

Hm, strange things happen... I've recompiled my bot and now I don't have any problems with +bitch. But the problem with linking still appears. So I should redefine my problem and question: Is it possible to link 1.3.28 eggdrop to any other version coz? Any help will be appreciated:)

Sorry for the mess.

Yes, it should be possible to link 1.3.*, 1.4.* and 1.6.* together without problem.

Maybe if you pasted some log details, or some error message, we could help.

The SAME problem happened to me too, which shell do you use? Please paste the OS, Machine type.. on this forum. Maybe guppy will have something to say about this.

If you just do -bot FedEx and then re-add the bot it works. Well it works for me, the is probably a more efficient way of dealing with it though.

Well, it doesn't work even if I remove the remote bot and then add it again. I've tried this before I've posted my problem.

OS is linux slackware 8.0:

himika@voodoo:~$ uname -a
Linux voodoo 2.4.12 #4 Fri Oct 12 16:05:01 EEST 2001 i686 unknown
himika@voodoo:~$

dont set a password for the bot. nless you got the tcl script that says the pass when the main hub bot ask for it. et me find that script.

after removing the passwords, you should issue a save for the userfiles (.save). This will make sure that the passwords are blank in the userfile.

Do you use any scripts that check to users without passwords?

Paste the machine info too, or mail to eggheads@eggheads.org

This with .save also didn't work. I don't use any botlink related tcl scripts.

Btw, what do u mean with 'machine info'? Hardware, OS, etc?

I think I issued a short usual description of the machine info. What exactly do u want to know? It's standart slackware 8.0 installation on i686 with no kernel patches. I pasted the output of 'uname -a', so I can't think of anything else which could be helpful for this case:)

Feel free to ask about something specific.
