dumps the text to your current console channel (or other specified
channel), as if the bot "said" it.
so you're doing it correctly.

Through telnet you can connect to the bot and join the partyline.

Telnet is the same as DCC chat with eggdrop, the only differance is one is done through your IRC client interface.
