Here's what I loaded on my bots for channel/spam protection:

sentinel
repeat 1.1
mc_8 ban flooders
botnetop
chanlimit1.5

check slennox's own scripts, many of them are useful. Others feel free to add other scripts here, i'm sure there are some essential tcl scripts out there.

I use a addonscript for netbots.tcl to fight spam. Unfortunally I don't remember the real script name. In my netset.tcl it showas up as additions by loki. It's working well, has lots of options and is higly configurable.
Also No!spam (it's in the tcl archive here) works fine.

For protection I suggest to change the bot.conf so it will suit your needs.
Get the latest Sentinel and one of the chanlimit scripts.
There are also some improved scripts for the bitch-mode available, but they can be a bit annoying sometimes.

Why don't you read what they sugested? Also, why don't you check the TCL Archive? There are planty of TCL scripts that will do what you've asked..
