Sticky tread containing FAQ and proper posting guidlines

Most of the questions in the TCL Forum have allready been asked alot, maybe a sticky tread or something like that can get ppl to use to search function.

also proper posting guidlines would be good, i have no intention to look into a tread called "help" "need a script" "omfg whats wrong with that", topics should contain the content and the directíon on the tread.

I think therads are named good the most of the time...But some question have been already asked..

You think a subject like "HELP ME" is descriptive? It's about as descriptive as YOUR average post is helpful :/ You tend to post nonsense that doesn't bring anything to the thread and/or repeat what someone else just said (to try to take credit for it?) maybe there is a mod that can restrict topic patterns like need help etc..

Yes, topic named like hellp me or i need help sux, but here arent so many such topics..

i just looked at the tcl forum, currently 10 of the 20 treads on the first side are just like "i need help" "newbie problem" etc

i say delete all postings that dont match propper guidlines

I do think also that a lil sticked & closed thread with *Read this before posting aka. The forum rules* will be nice for start..

As for deleting posts.. umm.. don't know what to say exactly.. erasing them won't be a solution IMHO.

who is willing to find a code can suffer a little bit

so it won't hurt alot if one passes by such topics to get what he's looking for. No pain, No game.

either i'm to drunk or my english isn't good enaught (mostly its a mixture of both).

Who wants something should ask in the correct way. (is that what you ment ?)

No, what I meant is that users seeking help can go through the pain of browsing such posts with odd topics... There's no need for the admins to delete or rename these topics.

But yeah, I agree that they should ask in the correct way

i dont think that this will have much effect. if people were willing to read then we didn't have to discuss here...

Umm.. and if not respecting the rules then the thread is closed or user get's a first warn, or something similar.

Besides the line "No Pain, No Game" has absolutely no meaning whereas "No Pain, No Gain" obviously means: if someone doesn't work hard enough on something then they won't succeed in it.

I have to agree 100%with user.
I remember when I was friendly pointing out that ]kami[ had made a typing mistake in the following post http://forum.egghelp.org/viewtopic.php?t=6120 and he replied in a very defensive way (although he tried to hide that with a fake smile) and he said "? I told what i wrote, i think".
]kami[ I didn't answer you back then because I didn't think it was worth it, besides as I once made it clear, I am on this forum to learn and to help. Not to answer some silly posts.
If you go check the url of the post above, you will see that #chanchanmode was ambigous in your post and there was no reason whatsoever to get on the defensive like you did.
When the channel is not your console channel then you use .chanset #chan <chanmode>
When the channel is your default console channel then you use .chanset <chanmode>

i must say i dont read what ]Kami[ writes 90% of the time because it's just "use google" or "you need a script for that", not more....

maybe an ignore feature would solve the "kami problem", but thats not the topic of this tread, so please try to stick with it or open a new one for kami regarding stuff.
