new with this kind of problem

hello all.
I have configure my bot, but when i put im online, he doesn't go to my IRCServer, so i connect to him, by telnet, and i saw this error :

trying server irc.stealth.net:6660
failed connect to server irc.stealth.net <permision denied>

Can anyone help me??

My shell, gives ipv6 and vhost, could be this error because i dont use those services ( Ipv6 and vhost) ???

looks like the problem is on the server side
if it says "no permission" , maybe the server has a list of ips/hostnames for authorisation

if you can get on the server, ask an admin

IRCnet servers are realy restricted.
Connect to a server from your country or if there is no server use one who is close by

I have found that my eggdrop can connect to my country irc server, but if the irc server is ipv6, if the server is ipv4, he doesn't connect!!! What can i do??Do you have any idea!?!

I don't realy understand what you typed there

If you are using ipv6 you have to connect to an ipv6 server.
Here is an list of all the ipv6 servers on IRCnet

what i want to say is, if the IRCserver is IPV6 then the bot connects, but if the IRCserver isn't IPV6 the bot don't connect, and my question is : "is it possible to resolve this problem to make the eggdrop connect non IPV6 servers???"

try setting a my-ip in the conf and not setting a my-ipv6 (i think its like that). this should make the eggdrop bind to an ipv4 and be able to connect (only?) to ipv4 servers

stealth ircports is from 6665 to 6668 all others i dont know !

the 6660 is not a ircnet connection port !!!

even if the server is other then irc.stealth.net the same happens again : "permision denied"

Ask them for an ipv4 ip to use.

hello, irc.stealth.net is an ipv4 only server.
if you wish to connect a ipv6 bot and need to find an ipv6 server that has ilined you (on ircnet all ipv6 ::/48's must be ilined)
