adding users
adding users
ok guys i really need some help here.i dont care what i do i cant add users...i tried the +user an .chattr and nothing works.i even add ppl to owner in conf and that dont help either.im going crazy over here.HELP lol.it shows they are added but they cant get bot to op them or ident even if i give them a password.dont know what else to try.Thanks JOE

well if you read the help for .help +user you will see it also takes a hostmask as an option... bots recognize users by hostmasks joe.. so without a valid one.. the bot will have no clue who that person is.. read .help +host as well
You could also add the users with .adduser, which will add a hostmask for you, but you may not like the host it adds either. They are sometimes fairly broad. You can also use adduser to add it static.. see .help adduser
As for ident.. it only works if you actually bind it.. and even when you do bind it if you "/msg bot ident password" it will only work if you are somewhat close to a stored host. If you attach your handle at the end tho it should work
