Well, i've looked in the forum and the docs but I can't find the answer on my following problem (guess i'm looking for the wrong terms).
I have the following question :
Is it possible that an eggdrop gets the static hostname instead of the dynamic one when users identify themselves with the bot. I don't want to manually change the hostname everytime a user adds himself with the bot.
afaik you have to use wildcards in your hostmask
eg: ident@*.dip.t-dialin.net
if there is a mode +x on your server you can use the mode to make it easier. You have to add nickname@Username.users.quakenet.org
for quakenet for example.
suppose it's right, but I am not that skilled with using eggdrops
