Chatting with eggdrop

Post by woodencross »

Hi guys,

sorry 4 that question, but I got a little problem.

On the server I normally chat is a userlimit of 2 connections with one IP. I want 2 use eggdrop from my computer (actually works fine ;o)) (I'm connected by a router) and my girlfriend wants 2 chat on that channel. Now the problem is, when my girlfriend is online and the bot is, I can't chat. Is there somehow a way, how I can read what's going on in the channel and answer to that with the bot without logging in the server? I had several bots where that was possible, does that work with the eggdrop?

options:

1. Telnet to the bot using putty...type .console #room, .console +p and .say text

2. Contact the admin of the server and see if he will raise the connection limit(doubtful)

3. Use a bnc for either yourserlf or the bot ;)
