Flood from Q-Notices on QuakeNet

Post by Kripton »

Hello,
I got an EggDrop running on QuakeNet!
I need to get the Nick's AuthNames, so sending PRIVMSGs to Q (whois <nick>)
But then Q sends me too many notices, so the bot tells me
"[11:48] Flood von @CServe.quakenet.org! Wird ab sofort ignoriert!"
(srry 4 german :P)
And I can't react to this in my script!
How to disable this Flood "Protection" for this hostmask?

Add it as an user and mark it as a friend by doing chattr +f. See .help adduser .help chattr and .help whois
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

More than this, I usually add an user like *!*@network.org (if the hostmask for networq services is network.org, don't be stupid :) ) and give him global +fou
Seems to be the better way to not have any trouble (desynch like)
