Is the eggdrop community dwindling in number?

Post by Yourname »

heh, pretty bad question. Especially when I myself am not around so much as before.

But still, are most people taking a break (quit?) from eggdrops and/or IRC?

HNY btw.

i can only speak for myself : i haven't done any larger script in the last month(s) cos my final exams are near. i'm online 24/7, but in front of my PC only a few hours each day and in that time i have other things to do.

currently working on aVote2. But as i'm a lazy person and only about 1-2 hours in front of my pc every day, i can't manage to work that much on it. but i'm still online every day, looking through several forums.

Well, I had a "period" of time when I didn't was in the mood of working. Anyone has it's ups and downs and I guess I had the down period. :) Even the fact I was almost of the day in front of the pc I didn't had the mood I usualy have when I want to do something. Shure it's nice to be back in the "up period". :)

the last 2 months were the most "eggdrop scripting active" months. Now I'm not working on anything, but I join the forum everyday.

It's been more than 8-9 months since I've stepped out of eggdrops and IRC, due to own personal reasons. But I still drop by every now and then.

...and whenever I do, I don't see the old people. (hotshots, save that "who are the old people" question for next time).

It looks like it's not as 'haute' as it used to be. Or maybe I think so just because I'm not in the scene myself.
