WeiJie, yes it can get the weather of Singapore. The only problem is that wunderground only has one weather station in Singapore. Try this to get the weather for that weather station:

.wz singapore sg

Nice to see norwegians respect End user agreements.... ie. the fine print: 'By downloading my scripts from this (tclscript.com) site, you agree not to modify them in any form' ...

Sort of thing that may encourage me to stop writing scripts for the public at all any more.... Already production from slennox/kungfo0/mc8 have ceased to a standstill, amongst others... if this is what you are after, keep it up, and you'll find another lost scripter...

I got curious and took a look at that feech.com.uk file. Talk about a rewrite! No respect these days for a persons hard work. :(

actually, all I wanted was to shorten the 10line output to something shorter

and as for rewrite, i didnt change anything, just made it cleartext

whats the point of "encrypt" the code anyways ?

any backdoors we should know about ?

Hence the -q option, if you had bothered to read the help....

Still doesn't explain why you want to go about distributing the script in clear text format...

i did read the file and the -q option is still 4 lines and using lots of bold

im sorry but i like to do tiny costmetic changes to scripts so that they fit my channels.

i really dont see any harm in that as long as full credit is given.

The point is to prevent people like you from editting it, stealing the source, etc.. etc..

And for the millionth time, if you've followed any of the thousand posts regarding the encoding scheme, it's not encryption, it's obfuscation..

It only uses 4 lines because it has to... IRC can only take so many characters at one time, thus, to be coherent, the text size is split up meaningfully onto other lines, to avoid truncation..

If you don't like the output the script has, then write your own script....
Don't go jacking other people's work..

Wow, with all this discussion about editing code of another person's script, I hope no one, especially Murf himself, sees my slight edits to his original script that this topic was about as disrespectful or bad in any way.

But then again I did attempt to contact him when it first stopped working and got no reply and at that point over a year ago the script had been non working for months and seemed abandoned by Murf. If there is some off chance that he ever reads this thread: I apologize for not attempting to contact you further about this script and I don't mean to take credit for any of your code.

Also, thank you for the kind words gride420, but if anyone deserves thanks its Murf because god forbid I would not want to script and parse the entire thing from scratch! It's a great script, else we wouldn't be posting in this thread now, so thank you once again.. if you ever read this. :)

And hell while I'm here posting in a thread with strikelight I might as well send my kudos to you as well. I have at least 4 of your tcl scripts loaded and enjoy them very much, so thank you for your time and effort as well! :P

Okay I'm done.

Well i looks like the weather scripts is hacked again! :(

I just went to check the weather in my town as of .wz since i have the default set and it said Sorry 91710 is not available

so i tried it with teh area code as soo .wz zipcode same thing.

I tried some other zipe codes in my city and it worked kinda. I spit out some info but it was way off and had some weird crap for the time ine as soo -------- then spit out the rrest of the info that it supposed to do.

I dunno if maybe im just a retard but it has always worked since last fix just fine. Ill try to keep updated on if it starts to work right again.

Well no more than 5 minutes after i posted this it worked 2 times then stopped working again. Maybe wunderground is just working on their site and the code or whatever wont change when tehy are done. lets all hope not! Heh

{edit} Well sorry but its working just fine again so maybe they was working on the site. /me shrugs

Thanks!
