Running EggDrop off a Webserver

Post by thomasca »

Hi, I'd like to know if you can run EggDrop off a Webserver. I don't have an account with a shell, I'm pretty sure.

Also, if I can't do that, are some other Perl/CGI IRC Bots that I can run without a shell.

If you don't have shell access then don't try to run one. On an webserver account you should host an web page or something not run IRC procs. Anyway, check for permision by reading the TOS (Terms of Usage) and the AUP (Acceptable use Policy).
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.
