eggdrop dont starts

Hi,

I am new at eggdrop's and I got a problem on my Debian 3.0 woody system. My eggdrop don't starts. If I start eggdrop with ./eggdrop or ./eggdrop -n all the startmessages appear but eggdrop don't runs. If i take a look at "ps -ef" or "netstat -a" I see that eggdrop don't runs and that there is no port binded by eggdrop.

Connection's to IRC are possible from my Server. Bouncers are already running. I don't tried to start the eggdrop with user root and with a normal user. TCL is up to date.

What can I do to get it run???

Have you tried to telnet to the bot ?
And is the eggdrop listed in "ps x" ?

Try upgrading to 1.6.16 (or 1.6.15) first.

I updated it and it dont runs. All startmessages are appearing are looking correct. No errors. What can I do??????

Telnet says me that it is nothing listening on the port. ps -x dont list eggdrop.
