Issue with DCC chats and ADSL-connections

I'm having trouble with DCC-chatting with my eggdrop. I can use the "/ctcp Botnick Chat" syntax to get the bot to dcc to me, and that works well, but if I try "/DCC chat Botnick", I get disconnected from the IRC network I'm on. I'm only experiencing this from my home broadband connection, where I connect through a broadband router (NetGear RP114). Now that I think about it, I suppose it may be more to do with DCC than the eggdrop. But if anyone has heard of this or knows what to do, some help would really be appreciated.

Guess what. I have an ADSL connection running with a RP114 and have the exact same problem. mIRC spits out the following error:

*** [10053] Software caused connection abort

Usually the chat is initiated successfully, but the IRC connection is dropped. It's not Eggdrop, because it happens when initiating a DCC chat to anyone. So it's either mIRC or the RP114. I suspect the latter.

Annoyingly, upgrading to router to the latest 3.26 firmware stops DCC from working at all, so it seems this model router has some problems in this area.

Right. Time to email NetGear and ask them, I suppose. Oh well, the router was resonably cheap, mustn't grumble..
