Brain fade about eggdrop options

Post by tidy »

I for the life of me can not remember where the option is to allow console controls through a message or query window rather than DCC. I got lingo phone service and can no longer use the DCC console. Strange, I can connect to everyone via DCC chat except my bot. I checked the hosts and it tells me it recognizes me but will not connect a DCC chat with me. If someone could please refresh my memory on how to allow console control through query or msg windows I would appreciate it. I am using the latest stable release of egg.

Just tried it I didn't think about telnetting into the bot, I am assuming that is what that command does. How do I actually do it though if i telnet to the bots address I am going to just end up in my shell.

/CTCP botnick CHAT is not a telnet it's a DCC Chat (aka party line) session with your bot. :P

Interesting when I try it, it tells me no telnet port or some strange message along those lines.

In your conf file, there is a variable called the listen port, and usually looks something like listen 3333 all. What is yours set to?
