error for first time starting eggie

i done all the compilation and linking process i also done the editing of the conf file , when i do ./eggdrop -m file.conf
it gave me this error
[01:28] * CAN'T WRITE TO TEMP DIR

what is this , any solutions

In root of eggdrop:
makedir tmp

You may also need to change a line in your config:
set temp-path "tmp/" to
set temp-path "/tmp"
