I just want to use a bot on my channel at: freenode.net
to say funny things to my wife and I when we speak to it.
When I asked this question on a few other boards they all suggested I try eggdrop, but I am not that good with C programming.
I do have an associates in Computer Information Systems, but back in those days it was all DOS and WIndows 3.1, I don't know anything about all this TCL stuff, most I know is some Turbo C++for DOS... hehe
so I was just wondering, since this isn't for anything serious,
just something that says funny things to my wife when she talks to it (she thinks those bots that do that are SO funny) Can I do that without writing my own script? I mean, are there premade scripts out there that will do this for us? I mean, until I learn TCL anyway and how to compile all this stuff.
One thing for sure, it isn't intelligent enough to code its own tcl scripts. If it were able todo that, it would say auto-upgrade itself, like debug previous scripts, correct logic/syntax errors, update and optimize scripts. Know whats good for itself and others, what would be best for a channel a user and etc then no humans would be required to handle bots; a better bot.
And how about bot to bot interaction? Like humans interact with each other. AI for such things hasn't been developed yet.
