Post by TurboChicken »

i need someone to either give me a good explantion of reqexp....

or...

gimme a regexp for this line

<nick> STATIC [hmmm] grrrrrr

data1 == hmmm
data2 == grrrrrr

i'v been trying to work this out for like 2 weeks... i thought i would be really smart so i've been reading www.tcl.tk and getting no where fast.

here's what i came up with... please don't laugh too hard.... or atleast help me first and then laugh yourself to death

[regexp {^STATIC.\[.*\]..*$} $a a data1 data2]

Take a read of this thread thats in the tcl FAQ on this forum.

Poke Me
The lifecycle of a noob is complex. Fledgling noobs gestate inside biometric pods. Once a budding noob has matured thru gestation they climb out of their pod, sit down at a PC, ask a bunch of questions that are clearly in the FAQ, The Noob is born
