Hi.

First of all tell you that my english is so poor (Excuse me)

I'm writing you from spain, and I use Eggdrop 1.6.8. I decided to use it in my own irc network, because I need some way to make statistics to be updated in the network web page.

I Want to put in that web page the number of users currently logged on the different channels.

The log file generates strings like this:
#amigos (+tn) : [m/3 o/2 v/0 n/1 b/0 e/- I/-]

My first question:
¿Is possible to record only this string and ignore the rest of info is genenerated in the log file?. I only need this record.

2nd question:
¿Is possible to record this information every "x" minutes?

3rd question:
¿I have a message telling me "Can't join on #channelx I'm on too many channels".The max number of channels that my eggdrop join are 8.
¿Is possible to join on more channels at the same time?

Well, thank you very much for your help.
Yours Sicerely,

David S.

1) yes, with a bit of creative use of grep
2) you can change the timing, but you'd need to modify the source to do so (somewhere in channels.c i guess)
3) this is a server limitation. get the irc server admin to increase MAXCHANS if you wanna join more.

It's your IRC Network? WTF are you asking about MAXCHANS? I thought my admin at school was bad!|
