Hi, how can i chat on dcc with my bot ? i write /dcc chat nickname and then i wait a long time and nothing :/ and how can i telnet on my bot ? my bot run from my pc. thx.

maybe via "telnet localhost <port>" in command line?!
you could even try telnet://localhost:3333 in case you left the default port ^-^.
However, I recommned googling for PuTTY ^-^.

if you dont have identd running locally, youll need to wait 60sec for ident timeout. did you do that?

i typeed in putty telnet and port 3333 and then i see:
Network Error: Connection Refeused

port 3333 is the default port, look in your config file for "listen", in case you already forgot what you entered ><

Ok i can telnet now but dont have still access to my bot :/ on dcc and on telnet it ask for username and password where i can find it ? back because on 1 time runing my bot i write /msg bot hello and then password etc but i am forgotted.

If you have forgotten your password the only thing you can do is delete your botname.user file from your eggdrop directory and restart your eggdrop using the -m switch again and reset your password after you have

. also instead of using

/dcc chat botnick

PS: its easier to delete the password line in the .user while the bot is down, when its on again you can use "/msg bot pass <pass>" ^^
