how can i write an script that reads my ip when i get connected and set it to my-ip parameter.?

try getting a program like DNS2GO from http://www.deerfield.com/ you run the program in the background and it will update the dns on a remote server with your custom address like... user.dns2go.com - which as far as I know, you can put in the bots config,
realistically though, its a bit stupid to run a bot off a modem if you get disconnected regularly surely?
