you can emulate any TCP based protocol supporting files transfers (like FTP, HTTP, etc.). If you find some good stuff (meaning the protocol sequenzes) you would probably even be able to send files via MSN, ICQ, etc. .
a "warscript" I once got my hands on (of the now long-defunct EFnet takeover monkey group named "core") used to maintain userfile sharing via botnet only - not using eggdrop's built-in sharing
I'd assume there are also other similar scripts, with similar purpose (controlling bots from hacked accounts where DCC-ing is not possible due to firewall issues)
well this isn't a hacked account account I'm trying to get to, its a friends box and I am trying to get a test botnet working but the userfile sharing doesn't work due to firewall. I don't know enough about how the bots communicate to make a script like this, is there something I can read?
I personally have commented on that issue at least dozen of times and if you'll excuse me, I'll spare another redundant explanation; after some careful reading and checking with eggdrop.conf, you should be able to configure your bots to use DCC (including userfile transfer) through the firewall
