Maybe i'm doing this wrong, i have created a "limbo" bot to use for a hub and i have followed the directions on it but im not sure whether im supposed to type 'NEW' after i start it, because the setup says to set a "botnet-nick" but if i set that nick after i telenet or relay directly to the bot it asks for a nick and password but i dont have a password for the botnet-nick so it kicks me off what am i doing wrong?
A botnet nick it's like the word is , its the nick used by the bot in a botnet.
The name off the bot on the IRC network can be different.
If you start a eggdrop, first you have too set you as a the owner, by typing /msg eggdropname hello.
Then you set your password here.
When you telnet the bot, he's first asking your name, this is the name you had when youre were set as an owner. the password is the one you set after being set as an owner.
This al is explained, in the egghelp faq
Hope this is what you need too know
What's this real life ppl keep talking about ??? And where can I download it ???
i finally have all the bots connected to the hub, but i was wondering if there is a command to .restart <botnick> from the hub bot? instead of having to log into every bots console to restart it
you first log into the leaf by using .rc <bot>, then you can issue any command in that leaf's rconsole by using .rc <bot> .command [text], for example .rc leafbot .rehash
ok i got that now it goes to the leaf bot an then says nickname, but doesnt ask for my password, so i typed .rc leaf .rehash and it says <leaf> you dont have access.
