I've got running a bot, and in irc he is registered as ~eggdrop@server.de. How can i change the username (eggdrop) and the servername ?

The username on the machine isn't eggdrop, so i don't know where he takes the name from.

Thanks for any help.

Hi

To change the username, there's a setting called 'username' that is by default set to 'eggdrop'. You can change it to what you want.

And as for the hostname, you can change it by setting my-ip in the config file. Of course, the hostname you want to change to has to be available to that machine.

I think we talk about 2 different things. When i make a who on my Bot :

ÚÄÄÄÄÄ---Ä--ÄÄ-ÄÄÄÄÄÄ---Ä--ÄÄ-ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ--- -- -
| chip (~eggdrop@p1atin.de) (Germany)
³ ircname : Chip & Chap
| channels : @#rothaus @#puretec @#samajona @#baden
³ server : uni-karlsruhe.de ([irc.rz.uni-karlsruhe.de] University of Karlsruhe,)

So the Username is right, but i want to change the ~eggdrop@p1atin.de
