cant telnet to eggdrop

Post by sinistergentoo »

this is very frustrating. i have the telnet port set to 8065 in the config but whenever i try to telnet to it, it stops at "Trying to connect to "IP" " and i have no idea why or what happened. anyone have any idea why this is happening??

heh

well then let me put it this way - some software application prevents you from establishing TCP connection to your bot's telnet port (or your bot from accepting such connection)

better?

I can't tell you because I don't have enough information

you could as well have asked me to solve a system of equations where the number of equations is less than the number of variables

I need to know the firewall and system configuration of your shell provider, also your system configuration - all programs that you run on your computer and their detailed configurations, and I want a privileged account on your computer and your shell account so I could test and experiment

how's that for a start?
