so i am running a bot on a shell. the only problem is that undernet servers woun't accept my bot! the reason: "too many conections from your host". yes the shell guests many bots...and the messge is justified. What should I do?
i know quite a lot about eggdrops...and i know that a proxy(firewall) will resolve the problem......but how will i configure my conf file. but if undernet is doing the same thing that it does with Bouncer's proxyes a think there is no solution for that.....
i don't want to link my bot through other bots....so don't tell my that.......

i expect solutions!....THANKS!

You expect solutions? Write an e-mail to your admin and tell him that.

oooooooooo
but THANKS what means in English?
anyway we are not talking here about being polite.....
so.. i talked to my admin before a wrote this topic...and he said he can't do anything.Vhosts would be good in this situation but the shell isn't supporting Vhosts.
so PLEASE help me with this problem or just say....there's no solution!..( i hope i was polite enough)

Sounds like a shell not worth the trouble to begin with. I'd say find a better shell provider.

Indeed, if the shell as you say is running several bots and is not offering vhosts, then I would suggest you find another shell provider asap

my shell provider is offering me a lot of advantages > 20 background processes...so i can't change it.....i don't want to!!! So
undernet was only a problam that i hoped i wiil resolve it here. guess i was wrong or maybe not...anyway cut the crap with stupid jokes....
anyway for the joke man: Do you know how to make curious an idiot?
and for the people who want to help me...provide me more realible solutions....
that's all

Well first off, what good is being able to have "20 background processes" if they can not connect??? Second of all sounds kinda childish when you ask for help, and when people give you a honest opinion on what you should do, you don't like the answer so you get snotty with them and DEMAND better answers. NOT the way to get more help here I believe.

sorry but i didn't DEMAND any answers.
i just asked for help. well i think finding another shell provider is not an answer to my problem(it's so easy to say get rid of it)..and yes i thought about that before i asked help here. and i said "more reliable solutions" i never said that i don't like your solution.
but i think we all lost time and take space with problems that have no connection with this forum.
So PLEASE reply me only if you can really help me...if not i thank you anyway for your time to read this topic...

I think these guys are going out of their way to post replies even after you bash them.

THEY HAVE ALREADY GIVEN U RELIABLE SOLUTUIONS TO YOUR PROBLEM!

If you don't want to take the advice and the actions (solutions) they gave you, then I think you are on your own.

Quotes from mehighbc:

"and for the people who want to help me...provide me more realible solutions..."

and

"i expect solutions!...."

Gee, sounds like demands to me, what does anyone else think??

Seriously though mehighbc, if no vhosts then I presume when your bot DOES work it either has an IP number of the shell address (i.e. bot@myshell.com) and if there are "too many hosts from your connetions" the only thing OTHER than finding a better shell is to make sure you have the most up-to-date server list and try EVERY server to see if you can find one that doesn't have too many connections from your host. In my experience though you will not be able to find one. The only thing I have been able to do is change the vhost.

I think you can make your bot connect through bnc. but since bnc is not a free process you should search for free ones.

And you should know that the joke is in my signature which is applied to the end of ALL my posts and yes I have been using the same one for a while because I'm too damn lazy to change it lol, Do you really think I'd bother to type that out every time?

But next time, I suggest you use at least a small amount of curtousey, politeness doesnt cost anything.

At least you've seen sense and found another provider, glad to hear things are all sorted now.
