1.6.8 eggdrop has been running fine until yesterday. Now can not connect to Undernet server. Have tried 10 different servers but I get this via telnet:

[06:47] -ERROR from server- Closing Link: HaVoKrEkR (USER: Bad username)

Shell admin says server problem, but people on IRC says shell/ident problem. Any ideas??

You need to set username to something that is 9 chars or less, doesn't start with a number, and has no mixed characters.

i.e.. set username eggdrop

Thank you Sir. My shell admin is also looking into to this to make sure IDENT is running propery.
