try using '/ctcp botnick chat' to make the bot connect to you
if that doesn't work, kill the bot and restart it using -nt switch, then try to connect by dcc again to see the error(s) on the bot

what can be the problem?

In case you haven't solved this yet, look at your irc client's setting for DCC ports.
(mIRC's defaults will not allow the connection while your bot uses port 6760)
