I-lined

Post by shikashinigami »

I'm confused, I've had my bot on my channel for about a week now and it was working just fine. Well my friend tried to help me set my bot nick into my group so that it would autoop/become owner when it connected.

Now it's saying: caught i-lined for jumping. and no matter how I change it back/ drop nick/ what ever I do. It's alway i-lined and then placed on ignore for flood.

help please.

yes, exactly. I reloaded a new eggdrop config that I updated with all the stuff I learned, and it doesn't i-line anymore. But I'm still curious as to what i-lining is.

download a few different ircds and read the docs

I:lines are the settings for allowing connections (what hosts/ips may connect to the ircd).
