editing eggdrop.conf

Ok so I know most here think Iam stupid and Iam as I am trying to learn how to do this, iam not at a point to edit the eggdrop.conf and tried to follow the directions, and have no clue how to do it, any help would be appreciated.

Follow the instructions (carefully) as explained in Setting up an Eggdrop.
Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.

edit eggdrop.conf

i have followed them, iam at the point to edit the eggdrop.conf, but am having difficulty opening that file to edit.

What do you mean? Simply use an editor and edit the thing. Do not use Wordpad or Word if editing offline. :wink:

If editing on the shell use either pico or nano.
Add [SOLVED] to the thread title if your issue has been.
