im getting the same error here also, is there anyone here that might have a clue on what might be wrong

firewall problems

try to connect to irc from your shell using console irc client (ircii, bitchx) or telnet

well the weird is that im running my eggie and ircd server on the same box, and i can connect to my server under ssl from mirc on another box on the same network, but i cant get my eggdrop compiled with ssl to enter the ssl ircd server runnig on the same box, weird

i had the same prob and putting this where the server module is loaded did the trick for me.
