lost bot ??? in my botnet plz ne help appreciated

Bot flags for hubbotnick are now +hp.

[11:23] Lost Bot: hubbotnick

ok my ip changed an i dont know wats happenin with this 1 leaf bot in my net
iv reset the ip addy on all my leafs but this 1 leaf bot keeps giving the lost bot message

all bots are running of a linux box on my home network
eggdrop 1.6.10

This is usualy due to routing and high ping times between peer's.

AKA/EG

3 bots. bot1 bot2 bot3

bot2 and bot3 link to bot1.

bot3 keeps getting lost. IE "Lost bot: bot3" in bot1.

This usualy means that it is takig a long time to get information from bot3 to bot1, and/or from bot1 to bot3.

The best way around this is to link the bot to another point in the botnet, EG link bot3 to bot2 instead.

You would have to experiment where to link, either by trial and error, or going onto the the shell of bot3, and pinging the IP address of each other bot in the net, and linking to the quickest/most stable round trip times.
