Identd and eggies

My question is:

Anyone knows how to avoid the bot to show his real ident on IRC?
I know that this is done by the identd server of the host where the bot is, and if you're not the admin you can't change it, but if anyone has a good idea it would help.

There is no way unless you have root access rights, because when it polls the identd server, it's gonna respond with you being the owner of the socket connection..

As stated, root is required to deactivate identd.

If the system is set to reply to identd queries, then it will.
