How do you intend to detect when the channel is opened?

Maybe just like a timer script that always send a force join command let say for every each 5 mint and when the channel is opened by an IRCop, it join to get an operator status and idle in the channel to hold it for me until I join the channel meanwhile at the same time it send a private message to my nickname (psybnc) tell that it was already in the channel and ready for registration.

thanks

... and if the channel(s) in question is/are permanently closed by Administration (most usually are)?

This is looking more like channel chasing which is an activity prohibited on most IRC Networks; an activity not supported by these forums.

Simply add the channel to your Eggdrop and it will continuously try to join.

I made a similar script, for something like this based on someone's intense request. You can find it on the tcl section of the egghelp website. The name is "Channel Grabber".

It joins a channel, or creates a timer to join the channel. And if they are people in it already an no op, it will check the channel list based on a timer and when the channel becomes empty (meaning only the bot is on the channel), the bot will quickly cycle the channel, get op, register the channel and send the botowner a memo through MemoServ.
